In architecture a gate is a passage from one place to another. Many ancient cultures have used this architectural element to symbolize spiritual matters such as death , life, puberty, enlightment, etc. In this case my intention is to mark a place, a sacred place.

If we think of the earth as the living organism it is, then it won’t seem awkward to state that it has a web of energy channels just as humans have the acupuncture meridians. In all spaces (indoor or outdoor) there are special places where the earth emanates more proper energies to meditate or simply think and relax and elevate our conscience level, this places are called places of power and can be found using radiesthesia* a practice I have followed tor the past few years.

The sculpture will mark one of this places I will find and there the people who enter THE GATE and sit on the rock with an open mind-heart attitude, will be able to get in touch with this energies. The person who uses this place regularly will start to feel the great power of it. This is why the sculpture is called the gate, because It also symbolizes passing from one state of mind to a more elevated one.

I designed this sculpture entirely with sacred geometry proportions, (a composition method used first by Egyptians in their constructions, also in gothic cathedrals, and thoroughly along the renaissance. This practice studies mathematical proportions in nature and applies them to art or architecture) all of it’s elements relate to each other in perfect proportion and the entire sculpture relates the same way with nature elements. Its square form is the symbol of the earth, symbolizing this sculpture will be a place to get in contact with her energies.

* Is the art or science that teaches how to perceive with the senses the radiations or power fields of electric or magnetic origin in nature, that influence the human body and which presence causes certain neuromuscular reflexes.

THE GATE

En arquitectura un portal es una estructura para pasar de un espacio a otro. Muchas culturas antiguas han utilizado este elemento para simbolizar temas espirituales como la muerte , el nacimiento, la pubertad, iluminación, vida, etc. En este caso mi intención es marcar un lugar sagrado.

Si pensamos en la tierra como el organismo vivo que es, entonces no resulta extraño afirmar que esta también posee una red de canales energéticos como los meridianos de acupuntura en el cuerpo humano. En cualquier espacio (interior o exterior) existen lugares donde la tierra emana un tipo de energía mas propicia para meditar o simplemente relajarse, pensar y elevar nuestro nivel de conciencia, estos lugares suelen llamarse lugares de poder y se encuentran entre otros métodos por medio de la radiestesia*, una práctica que he desarrolado en los últimos años.

La escultura marca uno de estos lugares que encontré en los alrededores de este hotel. Aqui las personas que entren en THE GATE y se sienten en la roca con una actitud de mente-corazón abierta, podrán sentir la conexion con estas energías. La persona que utilice este lugar con regularidad con seguridad empezará a sentir su gran poder. Es pore so que esta obra se llama THE GATE (el portal), porque precisamente simboliza el paso de un estado de conciencia a otro mas elevado o avanzado.

Diseñe esta escultura enteramente basado en geometría sagrada, (Un método de composición usado por los antiguos egipcios en sus construcciones, también en catedrales góticas, y ampliamente retomado y utilizado en el renacimiento. Esta práctica estudia las proporciones matematicas presents en la naturaleza para aplicarlas al arte y la arquitectura) todos sus elementos se relacionan unos con otros en prefecta proporcion y la escultura total se relaciona de la misma manera con los elementos naturales. Su forma cuadrada es desde la antigüedad el símbolo de la tierra, simbolizando tambén que es un lugar para entrar en contacto con sus energías.
